edinburgh youth champion the breakfast bothy at YPI finals

on friday, 10th january, six teams from st george’s school in edinburgh participated in the school’s final of the youth philanthropy initiative (YPI). teams presented to an audience comprising all of lower 5, all of upper 4, a panel of four judges, representatives from shortlisted charities, and laura gordon, the YPI programme officer, competing to win a £3,000 cheque for their chosen local charity.

we are very grateful to have been the chosen charity of the winning team! a big thank you to paige, pippa, sophia, rachel, and sophie who did a fantastic job presenting about our charity and learning more about the work that we do for the community.

this funding is truly fantastic for our wee charity and allows us to offer more meals, haircuts, bikes and bike repairs, lundry services, and much more to our guests who are experiencing homelessness in edinburgh.
